ΠΟΛΙΤΙΣΜΟΣ Alpha Bank
NUMISMATIC COLLECTION
The Educational Suitcases travel at the Archaeological Museum of Kavala

For the first time, Alpha Bank's Numismatic Collection cooperates with the Ephorate of Antiquities of Kavala and jointly organize two Educational Programs about the History of Coins. The two educational suitcases of the Numismatic Collection will be hosted at the Archaeological Museum of Kavala, where visitors will have the opportunity to attend the Educational Programs free of charge, every Tuesday, from October 18, 2022 to June 13, 2023.

The Educational Programs in the form of a museum suitcases aim to:
- enhance the knowledge about the history of coins, the basic means of exchange, which began in ancient Greece and shaped the development of the history of coins worldwide.
- acquire knowledge about the evolution of transactions, the world and values. Students learn about historical figures and events and discuss historical topics related to their grade level and school curriculum.
- develop skills and increase financial literacy. Students hold in their hands the first coin in history and some important coins from ancient times to the present day.
