ALPHA BANK NUMISMATIC COLLECTION
The first coins in Greece were struck in Aegina, during the 6th Century B.C. The obverse is occupied by a turtle, the emblem of the island and the reverse by an incuse square divided into prongs, which produce various patterns of triangular or quadrilateral depressions. The reverse of these first coins of Greece became the logo of the Alpha Bank.
